Whereas, Joseph
Cossart on the 9th day of August, A.D. 1858, did
file in the office of
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County
of Clark, a certified
copy of a certain judgment, rendered by P.M.
Carmichael Mayor, City
of Arkadelphia, in the said County of Clark,
whereby it appears
that said Mayor did, on the 8th day of May, 1858,
render judgment in his favor,
against Stephen Matlock for his debt &
Dams ($52.82) with
ten percent ? therein besides costs, which costs
amount to the sum of
four Dollars and thirty Cents; and that, on the
20th day
of May, 1858, an execution was issued thereon, and that the
said execution has
been returned that the defendant, has no goods or
chattels whereof to
levy the same. And Whereas, The Clerk of said
Circuit Court did, at
the same time of filing such transcript, as
aforesaid, enter such
judgment in the docket of said Circuit Court
for judgments and
decrees, in the manner provided by law, to the end
that the same might
have the like
effect, and be carried into
execution in the same manner as the
judgments of such Circuit Court.
You are
Therefore Commanded, That, of the goods and chattels, lands
and tenements of the said
Stephen Matlock you cause to be made the
Debt damages First and costs
aforesaid, together with the sum of
four Dollars and fifty
Cents, additional costs, ____; and have the
said Debt damages Interest
and costs, and additional costs, before
our said Circuit Court, on the 22nd
day of March, A.A. 1859, and
that you then and there certify how you have executed
this writ.
