A Petition to the State Legislature 19 December 1792
To the honorable legislature of the State of South Carolina in senate and house of representatives. The petition of the inhabitants of Greenville County. Respectfully sheweth that your petitioners have been informed that attempts have been made to alter the plan for holding the county court - a circumstance that has occasioned great uneasiness to a majority of the inhabitants of Greenville County. Your petitioners therefore request your honorable body to repeal any law that may inadvertently have been made for the purpose of altering the place of holding the county court or give such relief as otherwise may be deemed necessary.
