STATE OF GEORGIA   ) By virtue of an order from the Honorable Tattnall County
COUNTY OF TATTNALL)    Ordinary of said County on the second Monday
of January 9th instant to us directed authorizing and requiring us
to make distribution in part consisting of the Negro property
belonging to the Estate of Stephen MATLOCK late of said County
deceased among the distribution of said Estate we proceeded on this
day to the performance of that duty we assertained there were seven distributees to wit
John Mattox )  Patrick H. Bell
William MATLOCK )  Stephen MATLOCK
Elza Tillman )  Charles Matlock, minor

Charlton H. MATLOCK, minor and Stephen MATLOCK and Elza Tillman, Guardians for said minor Heirs.
  The shares were numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and were assigned to the distributees in the following manner to wit The names of the distributees were written on a piece of paper and placed in a Hat
the numbers were written on the other piece of paper and put in
another Hat. The Hats were both well shaken. A name was then drawn
from the Hat containing the names, then a number was drawn from the
Hat containing the numbers. The following is the results:

Leaves property to the following: wife - AGATHA; son - GEORGE; daughter ANN JORDAN;Grandson - CHARLES MEDLOCK
Granddaughters: POLLY JORDAN, SUSAN MEDLOCK, AGATHA HALEY & POLLY MEDLOCK. Executors:  Wife, Agatha; son George and son-in-law William Jordan.
Witnesses:  Joseph Howell, James Taylor and George Taylor

Warren County, Georgia: LWT of GEORGE MEDLOCK - Will Book A p. 43 Written October 2, 1800: Probated Feb. 1801.
Leaves property to: Daughters Polly Medlock, Agatha Medlock; Son George DeLafayette Medlock.
Wife - Ferbiee Medlock - "during her widowhood"
Executors: Ezekiel Smith, John Smith and George DeLafayette Medlock when he comes of age. Witnesses - W. Barden Jr, George Taylor and Asa Castleberry.

Note:  Estate proceedings and probate were transferred to Hancock Co Ga in November of 1813..and acknowledged by the Clerk of the Ordinary Court.
