Rockingham Co NC & he appl there 27 Aug 1823 aged about 70, sol m Mary Settle or

Suttle his 2nd wife (1st wife not named) in 1792, sold d 1 Sep 1838, wid appl 6

Apr 1843 Rockingham Co NC aged 72, children were; Charles b 1 Dec 1793, Salley b

21 Apr 1797, Abishay b 18 Nov 1800, name torn off by 12 Aug 1803 or 1805 ?, John

b in Mar 1808 & David b in Mar 1811, in 1844 John Matlock was of Rockingham Co NC

& in 1855 Charles Matlock also lived in said Co as a Mrs. Rhoda Settle or Suttle

who was aged 76, their relationships ???

at enl & after the Rev he lived in East TN, AL & KY, he appl 8 Sep 1832 Livingston

Co KY having lived there some 16 yrs, sol d 5 Apr 1838, sol had m Martha (--) 1 Sep

1769, wid appl 19 Feb 1842 Livingston Co KY aged 92, at the start of the Rev sol &

wid had 2 children; Dolly who was aged 72 in 1842 & Usly both were living in AL in

1842, it was stated sol & wid had 13 children but only Dolly and Usly were named in

the claim.

in Jackson Co IN but no relationship was stated, sol’s bro-in-law Notley Thomas was

referred to in 1833 & wid’s bro John Weddel “Weddell” moved from TN to IN in 1814 & in

1854 was living Jackson Co IN.
