We W. G. Seal and L. M. Jarirs have this day bargained and sold to William

MEADLOCK a tract of land in the 3rd District of Hancock County Tennessee

adjoining lands of Larkin Willis’s heirs and said William MEADLOCK fifteen

acres more or less for the consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars

to said Seal paid the receipt whreof is hereby acknowledged and we hereby

warrant and defend the title to the same to the said William MEADLOCK to all

the land and every part thereof, but only the amount of land that Jessie

Gillmur bought of James M. Moneyhan and no more, Given under our hands and

seals this 7th day of January 1878.

Know all men by these presents that I Robert Nall of the County of Hawkins and State

of Tennessee for and in consideration of the Sum of One dollar to me in hand paid

 the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day Sold and transferred to

George W. MATLOCK of the County & State aforesaid all my rite in law or Equity to

redeem a certain tract of land it being the same that I now ___ds on which tract of

land was sold by Jack Miller Sheriff of said County in the town of Rogersville On

the 25th of December 1845 to satisfy a judgment that J. P. & T. A. Rogers recorded

against me as Executor of Thos. A. Rogers Deceased in the supreme Court held in at

Knoxville on the second Monday of September 1845 and I do hereby transfer to said

MATLOCK all my right both to residence and profses said land as vested in me by law

This Indenture made and entered into this 15th day of August in the year of Our Lord

one thousand eight hundred and forty six between Robert Nall of the One (One has \\\

thru it) part County of Hawkins and State of Tennefsee of the one part, and George W.

MATLOCK of the County and State aforesaid of the Other part Witnefseth. That I the

Said Robert Nall of Said county for and in consideration of fifty dollars to me in

hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained Sold

and transferred to the Said George W. MATLOCK of Said County all my right both in

law and Equity to redeem two tracts of land lying in Said County on the South side of

Holston River the first tract of land is bounded on Said River on the north side and

west for 5 or 6 hundred poles and is the tract of land which was granted by the State

of North Carolina to Mary Asher and was sold as her property by A. Nelson Shff of

Hawkins County containing Six hundred and forty acres being the ____ of Said tract.

The other tract contains one hundred acres and joins other above mentioned tract of

Six hundred and forty acres and is an Entry made in the Entry takers office in

Hawkins County by the Said Robert Nall which two tracts of land was Sold at the court

house door in the Town of Rogersville on the 8th day of this Instant by D. Alexander

Clerk and Master and was Sold by a Decree of the Chancery Court made at May term of

Said Court in 1846.To satisfy a deed or mortgage given by Said R. Nall to Charles H.

Coffin 15 day of December 1843. for between five and six hundred dollars and was

recorded in the County Court Clerks Office of Hawkins County Court (Court \\\\ thru)

on the 16th day of December 1843. by C. Smith Clerk – and Said deed was Registered in

the Registers Office of Said County on 11th of December 1843 by Rudolph Hutfson

(Register) and I do by these presents transfer and afsign Over to Said G. W. MATLOCK

and of my Right both to profsefs and to redeem both said tracts of land as vested in

me by law in testimony – whereof I hereto Set my hand and Seal this day and date above

This Indenture made and entered into this 27th day of January in the year of our

lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between George W. MATLOCK of the

County of Hawkins and State of Tennessee of the one part and Cleon Moore of the

County of Hawkins of State of Tennessee of the Other part witnesseth that I the

Said George W. MATLOCK of Said County for and in consideration of the Sum of

five dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged hath this

day bargained Sold and transferred to the Said Cleon Moore Said County all of my

Right vested in me by a transfer made by Robert Nall formerly of said County of

Hawkins to Redeem two tracts of Land lying in Hawkins County and State of

Tennessee on the South Side of Holston River the first tract of Land is bounded

on Said River on the north side west as the River meanders for five or Six hundred

poles and is the tract of land which was granted by the State of North Carolina to

Mary Asher and was Sold as her property by A. Nelson he was many years ago Sheriff

of Hawkins County Containing Six hundred and forty acres more or lefs the Other

tract of land Containing One hundred acres and Joins the above mentioned tract of

Land of Six hundred and forty acres and was an Entry made in the Entry takers

office of Hawkins County by Robert Nall Senr which two tracts of land was Sold at

the court house door in the town of Rogersville in the County of Hawkins on the 8th

day of August 1844 by Dix Alexander Clerk and master by a Decree of the (Judge of

the (written above)) Chancery Court made at may Term of Said Chancery Court in the

County of Hawkins in the year Eighteen hundred and forty six to Satisfy a deed of

mortgage given to Said Robert Nall Senr to Charles H. Coffin on the 15th day of

December eighteen hundred and forty three for between five and Six hundred Dollars

and was in the Registers Office of Hawkins County on the 16th day of December

Eighteen hundred and forty three. And I Do by these presents transfer and afsing

Over to Said Cleon Moore all my right as is vested in me by the transfer made by

Robert Nall Senr to Redeem both of the above mentioned tracts of land in Witnefs

whereof I hereunto Set my hand and Seal the date above written.

A deed of conveyance from Jefse McPherson to Charles MATLOCK for 168 acres of land.

This Indenture made this eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand

eight hundred and twenty two Between Jesse McPherson of the County of Roane and State

of Tennessee of the one part and Charles MATLOCK of the County and State aforesaid of

the other part Witnesseth that the said Jesse McPherson for and in consideration of the

sum of Two hundred and Sixty Seven dollars and Sixty cents to him in hand paid the

receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell

alien enfcoff and confirm unto the said Charles MATLOCK a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and sixty eight acres of land (of land \\\\\\\\\\ crossed thru) it

being the place whereon the said Jefse McPherson now lives. Beginning at a double poplar

runing thence south seventy five east one hundred and sixty poles to a black oak and pine

thence North forty East forty four poles to a post oak then north twenty six east ninety

six poles to a black oak then North sixty West ninety four poles to a white oak then South

Seventy two West one hundred and twenty poles to a post oak then South four West one

hundred and thirty six poles to the beginning with all and singular the woods waters water

courses profits comm____dities hereditaments and appurtenances what ever to the said tract

of land belonging or (in any wise) inserted above line)) appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents and Ifsues thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of him the said Jesse McPherson his heirs and afsings

off in and to the said One hundred and sixty eight acres of land unto the said Charles

MATLOCK his heirs and afsings either in law or equity. To have and to hold against him the

said Jesse McPherson his heirs and afsings and against all other person or persons

whatsoever Will Warrant and forever defend by these presents – In Witnefs whereof I have
