Excellency had long promised him
a compensation in lands for
various publick
services by him rendered and you
were pleased lately to direct
the petitioner
to locate the same and you would
order him to be put in
possession thereof,
the petitioner hath located the
same and purchased an
improvement thereon,
which lies about one-half mile
below Grand Gulf on the MS
River, in which
places your petitioner prays ue
please, for reasons aforesaid,
to grant him 1
