This Deed was filed May 3rd & Recorded 7th 1841.

This indenture made the 31st of March in the year of our Lord one thousand

eight hundred and thirty-six between Thomas LITTLETON of the County of

 Roane and State of Tennefsee of the one part and David MATLOCK of the

County of Hendricks and State of Indiana of the other part.  Witnefseth

that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum

of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to him in hand paid

by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby

acknowledged by the said party of the first part hath granted, bargained and

sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said party

of the second part and his heirs and afsings forever all of my right, title

interest and claim as one of the lawful heirs and legatees of William MATLOCK

deceased my immediate ancestor and which descended to me by his last will and

testament in and to an undivided tract of land bounded as follows (viz) the

East half of Section Eighteen Township township (second township crossed thru)

Thirteen North of Range two East containing three hundred and twenty acres be

the same more or lefs lying and being in the County of Morgan and State of

Indiana.  To have and to hold the above above (second above crossed thru)

described premises hereby sold and conveyed unto the said David MATLOCK his

heirs and assigns forever together with all and singular the appurtenances

thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to his own proper use and

behoof and the said Thomas LITTLETON for himself his heirs executors and

administrators the aforesaid lot or tract of land and appurtenances to the said

David MATLOCK his heirs and administrators against claim or claims of all and

every person whatsoever will warrant and forever defend.

In testimony whereof the said Thomas LITTLETON and Mary LITTLETON his wife have

hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above

Personally appeared before me the undersigned one of the Justices of said County

Thomas LITTLETON and acknowledged the deed of conveyance to which this is annexed

to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mention and also Mary LITTLETON

the wife of said Thomas LITTLETON being separately examined apart from her said

husband and the full contents and purports of the above deed deed being made

known to her she did declare that she did voluntarily and of her own free will

and accord and as her own act and deed seal and deliver the said deed and

conveyance without any coercion or compulsion from her husband.  Given under my

hand and seal this 31st March 1836.

This Indenture made this twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord One

Thousand Eight Hundred & Thirty-Six Between Henry W. BRAZEALE & Charlotty his

wife & of the county and State of Indiana of the one part and Samuel MOORE of the

County of Morgan and State of Indiana of the other part.  WITNESSETH: that the

Said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the Sum of fifteen

dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said party

of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the Said party

of the first part. Hath granted, bargained and Sold and by these presents doth

grant, bargain and Sell unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and

assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land or To much of the following

described Lands as may be allotted to us we being one of the heirs of William

MATLOCK decd Junor and he being one of the heirs of William MATLOCK Senior decd

(To wit) the North East and South East quarters of Section No Eighteen in

Township No Thirteen No of Range No two East in Morgan County & State of Indiana

To have and to hold the above described premises hereby sold and conveyed unto

the said Samuel MOORE his heirs and assigns forever.  Together with all and S

ingular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaning to his

own propp__ use and (something crossed out) behoof and the said party of the

first part, for themselves heirs, executors and administrators the aforesaid Lot

or tract of land appurtenances to the said Samuel MOORE his heirs executors and

administrators against the claim or claims of all and every person whatever will

 warrant and forever defend in testimony whereof the said Henry W. BREAZEALE &

for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United

States to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof

is hereby acknowledged by the said party of the first part, hath granted bargained and

sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the

second part and his heirs and afsings forever, all of my right title interest and claim

as one of the lawful heirs and legatees of William MATLOCK deceased my immediate

This indenture made this 21st day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight

hundred and thirty-five between David BRASEAL and Rosanah BRASEAL his wife of the County

of Roane and state of Tennessee of the one part and David MATLOCK of the County of

Hendricks and State of Indiana of the other part.  Witnefseth that the said party of the

first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of

the United States to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt

whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said party of the first part have granted,

bargained and sold any by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said party of

the second part and his heirs and assings forever all of our right title interest and

claim as the lawful heirs and legatees of William MATLOCK deceased our immediate ancestry

and which descended to us by his last will and testament to an undivided tract or parcel

of land lying and being Morgan County and State of Indiana and bounded as follows (viz)

This Indenture made this Second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand

eight hundred and thirty five Between Jesse MATLOCK of the County of Roane and State

of - Tennessee, of the one part and David MATLOCK of the county of Hendricks and

State of Indiana of the other part, WITNESSETH: That the Said party of the first part

for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred dollars lawful money of the United

States to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof

is hereby acknowledged by the Said party of the first part, hath granted, bargained,

and Sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and Sell unto the Said party of

the Second part and his heirs and assigns forever, all of the my right title interest

and claim as one of the lawful heirs of William MATLOCK deceased my undivided

(undivided is crossed thru) immediate ancestor, and which decadent (a written just

below) to me by his last will and testimant in and to an undivided tract or parcel of

land Situate by in___ being in the county of Morgan and State of Indiana, bounded as

two East, Containing three hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less.  TO HAVE

AND TO HOLD-  The above described premises hereby sold and conveyed unto the said David

Certificate No. 1321
To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting.

Whereas Wm MATLOCK Jr. of Monroe County, Indiana has deposited in the General Land

Office of the United States, a certificate of the Register of the Land Office at

Brookville State of Indiana, whereby it appears that full payment has been made by

the said William MATLOCK Junr.- according to the provisions of the Act of Congrefs

of the 24th of April 1820, entitled. “An Act making further provision for the sale

of the Public Lands for the West half of the Southwest quarter of Section twenty,

in Township thirteen, of Range two, in the district of Brookville and State of

Indiana, containing eighty acres; according to the official plat of the survey of

the said Lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General, which

said tract has been purchased by the said William MATLOCK Junr.

Now Know Ye that the United States of America in consideration of the Premises, and

in conformity with the several acts of Congrefs, in such case made and provided,

have given and granted, and by these presents do give and grant unto the said William

MATLOCK Junr. The said tract above described. To have and to hold the same, together

 with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances of whatsoever nature,

thereunto belonging, unto the said William MATLOCK Junr. And his heirs and assigns

forever.

In Testimony whereof I James MONROE President of the United States of America, have

caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to

be hereunto affixed. –
