The Funeral for William C Mettlach, 76, a veteran of Auburns 1st Volunteer Fire Department who died Saturday night will be held at 9 A.M. tomorrow in the home, 10 Grove av. and at 9:30 A.M. in St Alphonsus Church. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery. William worked as a steamfitter for Smith and Pearson Inc. He was a communicant of St Alphonsus Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. He also was a member of Auburn Tent 125, Maccabees. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mildred Mettlach, a daughter; Mrs. Thomas Long, Syracuse; three brothers Charles and Theodore Mettlach, Auburn, and Alexander Mettlach of Westfield, NJ.; two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Armstrong and Mrs. Charles Hornung, Westfield and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mildred Rhodes Mettlach, a life resident of the Second Ward, died today in her home 10 Grove av. She was a communicant of St Alphonsus Church and a member of the Court Auburn, Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maccabees. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Thomas Long, Syracuse, and two sisters Mrs. Grace Reynolds, Wolcoll and Mrs. Bert Roberts, Syracuse.

Services for Mrs. Margaret Mahon Mettloch, 87, wife of Charles H Mettloch of 16 Grove av, who died yesterday after a long illness, will be at 8:30 A.M. Thursday in Avery E Neagles Funeral Home and 9:00 A.M. in Holy Family Church. Burial will be at St Joseph’s Cemetery. Born in England Mrs. Mettlach came to Auburn at the age of 14 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of its Rosary and Sacred Heart Society. Surviving besides her husband, Alexander Mettlach of Erie and John E Mettlach of Auburn, two daughters Mrs. Paul C Graney of Utica and Mrs Earl L Hamilton of Auburn; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
