GEORGE HUDSPETH BROWN born 22 Jan 1832 AR. George married 1st on 22 Mar 1852 to

Susan Tichenal, Susan was the daughter of John R and Rebecca Titchenal. Rebecca

Titchneal married second to William McMurtry. Susan Brown died 17 Jan 1865,

Cavanaugh, Sebastian Co., AR After the death of Susan, George married a 2nd time 

to Emeline Wood on Dec 25 1866.

George Brown hasn't been located in 1850 His wife to be, Susan Titchenal has been

found living with her sister Mary E Falconer as well as Georges mother-in-law Rebecca

who was living with another sister, Sarah A Hackett. Also in 1850 not far away was Rebecca's husband William McMurtry

Death of an Old Citizen.

George Hedgepeth Brown died at his residence at Eureka, seven miles from this city,

on Saturday, the 16th inst., aged 62 years.  He was an old resident of this county,

and a man who died in possession of the highest esteem of his neighbors.  Mr. Brown's

first wife was Miss Susan Tichnall, a sister of Mrs. Jerre Hackett, of Hackett City,

and a sister of the late Mrs. Falconer. He was the father of Mrs. Richmond Gordon and

Mrs. Joe Heald, and Wm. and Bert Brown, of Texas. Mr. Brown's second wife was Miss

Emaline Wood, of Hackett City.  Of this marriage there were five children.  About

three years ago Mr. Brown received a stroke of paralysis, from which he never fully recovered.  He visited city last Saturday, returned home and died a few moments after

he arrived there. He was a live, energetic, active man, and before he wore himself out

with hard work he was a leading man in his community.

DIED

In Fort Smith, Dec. 22d, 1864, Mrs. Minerva J. Robb, wife of Rev. Wilson (?) Robb of

the 18th Iowa. Her end was triumphant. At the residence of her husband, in Fort Smith,

on the 17th of January, 1865, Susan E. Brown.A Funeral Sermon will be preached on

Sabbath at 11 A. M., in the Episcopal Church. In this city, January 18th, Mrs. Soreen(?) C______.  She died in peace.

hard to read, and transcription errors are very possible.
