My name is Brenda Stanton Avila, and my
Hilburn line began with my great-great grandmother,
Nancy Caroline Hilburn who
was born Dec 1 1851 MO.
Nancy was the daughter of Tubal C Hilburn
and Loucinda
Byrd. Nancy married Strangeman Hutchins Dunham abt 1874 Fulton County AR. Nancy
died
Dec 13 1941 Salem Fulton Co AR, Strangeman died March 9th 1927 Salem
Fulton Co AR.
I began my
research some twenty years ago and along the way have met a few people that has
aided
me in my research. One was Barbara Ryals now deceased. Barbara and I not
only shared a great-great grandfather through Tubal Hilborn, but we also shared
the Dunhams. Another one who was of great
assistance was Michael Barr, whom I
recently have found him again "On-line". There are 2 new
Cousins I have
recently met and is willing to help put this information together one is Cheryl
Belivins,
and the other Pat Thomas.
It is believed
that our William Hilburn was possibly born in Pennsylvania, and may be the son
of
Samuel and Abigail Hilburn. It is also though that William made his way to
Fredrick County Virginia,
then later to Newberry County South Carolina, where
he died. Our Hilburn lines are as follows, If
