Egbert Hedge was born on July 26th 1880 Sebastian Co. Oklahoma. Egbert married 1st Martha Jane Dunham on December 14th 1904 (Book D Page 523) Salem, Fulton Co. Arkansas. Martha was the daughter of Strangeman and Nancy (Hilburn) Dunham. Martha was born on June 22nd 1885 Fulton Co. Arkansas. Martha died Sept. 20th 1920 Drumright Creek Co. Oklahoma. Egbert married 2nd Ida Cunningham Nov 6th 1921 Bristow, Creek Co Ok. Ida was

the daughter of Robert and Sarah (Jefferies) Cunningham. Ida died April 29th 1962, Egbert died July 2 1965

and both are buried in Bristow, Creek Co. Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Dunaway Funeral Chapel for Egbert Hedge, 84 .

long-time local resident, who died Friday morning at Bristow Memorial Hospital.

 

Born at Ft Smith Ark. July 26 1880 Hedge has been a resident here since 1921.

He was a retired Minister and Farmer. He was a member of the First Church of God.

 

Survivors include his five daughters, Fredda Hedge, Tulsa Okla, Mrs Violet Karcher, Shawnee Okla.,

Mrs Esther Hilterbran, Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs Ella Stanton Lost Hills Calif, Mrs Abbie Smidth

of Ventura Calif.; two sons Marshall and Marcus both of Ventura Calif, two sisters; Ella Ann and

Edda Ray both of Santa Barbara, Calif one brother Sherman Hedge Oklahoma City Okla, 15 grandchildren

and 26 great grandchildren.

 

The Rev Arthur Hanson will officiate and interment will be at Magnolia Memorial Cemetery with Dunaway

in charge.

   OK. Violet died July 21st 2001 Shawnee OK. Fred

   died Aug 2nd 1980 Shawnee OK.

   of education of Grammar School. Marcus was single

   and his occupation was Truck Driver

 

   1945 Oct 26 Marcus arrived in New York from Marseille,

   France. He was on the ship George Washington.

    15th 1915 and is buried in the Oakdale Cemetery

    located near Agra Lincoln Co OK.

 

  7 ESTHER PEARL HEDGE born July 13 1915 Payne Co OK.

    Esther married Loyd B Hilterbran. Loyd died Oct

    16th 1994 Oklahoma City OK. Esther died October

    14th 2005 Oklahoma City OK.

 

    Loyd B. Hilterbran  81, of OKC, died Oct.16,

    1994. He is survived by his wife, Esther of the

    home; a daughter-in-law, Lenora (Gus) Hilterbran

    of Moore, Ok.; 3 grandchildren, 4 great

    grandchildren; and a sister, Audri Demars of

    Tulsa, Ok. He was preceded in death by his son,

    Charles. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thurs., Oct.

    20, 1994 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with

    burial at Arlington Memory Gardens.
