TWO DIVORCE CASES TAKEN UP IN
COURT
Another old case went off the docket in the superior court Tuesday
according to the grand jury remained out. Naturalization cases
were taken up, followed by two divorce cases. The first divorce
case was that of Frances Avila vs
Antone Avila which had been
long in court and had different
lawyers at hearings. Charles H.
Drummey appointed for Mrs. Avila
and John C. Burke tor respondent.
The marriage was In New Bedford,
June 12, 1904. There was also an
equity case. The petition was
amended to ask absolute divorce and
alimony was permanently waived.
Petitioner and her two daughters
deposed and non-support was
shown. Decision was for the petitioner
on ground of neglect to provide, custody of minor daughter.

AVILA WILL FILED
The entire estate of Mrs. Frances F. Avila of Friendship Street,
who
died July 6, was left to three daughters, according to her
will
filed today with Probate Clerk John M, Dring by Cornelius C.
Moore, attorney. The personal as tale was estimated at $1,000.
The will directs that the real estate on Friendship Street be
sold and the estate be equally divided among Mrs. Elsie Sullivan
and Mrs. Mary A. Noonan of Newport and Mrs. Dorothy Liltlefield
of New York, all daughters. Mrs. Noonan is executrix.
